I literally just purchased a set of 6 Easton Carbon raiders from ****s. Problem is I just realized they are 400 spine not 340. I have a maxed out Hoyt turbo hawk (70#/29") and according the chart..... I am under spined (29 -1/2" shaft). GPI is 8.4 so I am ~347 gr with 100gr field tip. I assume the vanes and insert will put me over 350. Question..... Is it dangerous for me to shoot these/is there enough weight to shoot safe????

You could cut them a little shorter which would help.

Then the OP also looses weight of which they are very close to the low limit on now. OP, make sure they are 350 grains min and shoot them. If you are underspined they will consistently group right. If this happens lower your draw weight to see if it helps.

Yeah I didn't take into account that he was at the recommended min for arrow weight.

I think you should go with a heavier arrow. You probably don't want to cut them shorter.

Turn your bow down a bit.

Did you take into account the weight of the vanes, nocks, and insert for the broadhead? I'll bet you are closer to 390.

Save yourself the hassle of trying to tune your bow to the incorrect type of arrows. Sell or return them.

That's what I would do. If you used your Scorecard, you don't need a receipt.

Yeah, I tried but they were cut and inserts installed........ that is what I get for rushing over late and not paying attention. I had a $10 rewards card about to expire.. literally 15 minutes left on it... I am going to put them on ebay during lunch hopefully they will get something back to put towards properly spined arrows. Lesson learned!
