I have notice the back end of my arrows fishtailing. any ideas on what can cause this? Im going to get it paper tuned to see if that helps. But could it be me string catches my coat every so often. im shoot 68# 27in 27.5 in 340s FMJ.
Sounds like your rest isn't aligned properly. Should be able to figure it out when you paper tune it. Sent from my iPhone 5S using Tapatalk
Yep, sounds like the fletchings are hitting something. Could be the rest, cables, etc.. Paper tune and make a few adjustments if it hasn't been done yet. Also you may be able to index your nock some to get the fletchings to visibly not hit parts of your rest or riser.
What? How is that even possible? That makes no sense. i dont know whats is hitting my finger. happens when i put finger tips on riser. i dont any more.
I had this happen to me before the season. I went to my local bow shop and they watched me shoot and said it was my form. I shot a couple of times through the paper after I worked on my form and the "fish tailing" was gone.
Watched my uncle do this with his New PSE Bow Madness this past Saturday. It was a combination of his grip and the rest being to low from the initial set up. I moved the rest and two things happened. Bow shot perfect and his finger stopped getting slapped. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Got down to the pro shop today. It was my form. One would be perfect next would have right tear. Griping with my thumb.
Ah yes. Inconsistent arrow fish tailing. I must have missed the inconsistent part. I use to have that happen. It would drive me nuts trying to adjust it out. Just curious, what bow do you shoot and what's the brace height? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
That's not that short of a Brace Height. Short Brace Height and short ATA bows are a little less forgiving though. I had a similar problem with my Carbon Element RKT when I first started shooting it. Every now and then it happens with my Centroid while using my Hinge release if I don't get a crisp clean release. I'll get a little slack every now and then and snap the release instead if using my back and lat muscles to set it off.
