Went out to shoot tonight and I have been shooting the Ics Hunter 400 from Beman, shooting a Z7 Extreme at 60 lbs. Pull back and released my arrow split in half hitting my wrist. Nice welt. Never had that happened before.

Was the arrow cracked before you tried shooting it? You got lucky only getting a welt!

It actually knocked the Whisker Biscuit rest forward and scraped it up.

Might wanna just bend the arrow a little before each shot to make sure, you will hear the crackling.. Any type of strike (most of the time going unnoticed) can cause a fracture in the carbon.. Like hitting the metal legs of those ethafoam (sp) targets with the thin metal leaning legs.. Man, your very lucky !! Could have gone thru your forearm.. Way to many photos of that happening.. Glad its only a welt !!

    Yikes!!!

Is your bow okay? It sounds like a lot of odd torquing angles may have occurred. Glad it was just a welt. I didn't know you all used the word "welt" in Vermont.
