So I have Victory V3 Arrows, nockturnal lighted nocks, and muzzy 100 g broadheads. I was shooting 100 grain practice tips without the lighted nocks and everything was perfect out to 40 yards. I then shot the muzzy practice tip, no problems. Today before I go back home to hunt for two weeks I shot my new muzzy broadheads once to double check and make sure everything was perfect and my arrow shoots 6 inches low.

I adjusted my sight to them for now. But when I shoot my practice tips Im automatically shooting 6 inches high. Shouldn't I be able to shoot consistently with 100 grain muzzy practice tips and 100 grain muzzy broadhead? Im so confused right now and it has become very annoying. This is very consistent out to 40 yards.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks, Mike

How do your broad heads hit in relation to your field tips?
If their hitting close and the practice head is the odd man out, well I'd just throw the practice tip in a box and for get about it.

I got away from muzzy's for this reason. It's not uncommon at all. Muzzy's razor tip makes the arrow front heavy as all get out. It throws the axis off on your arrow and makes it fly different, and unless your bow is perfectly tuned to you and the arrow they won't shoot the same with field points.

What? 100 grains is 100 grains....how is the broadhead making the arrow front heavy?

I think he is referring to the longer length increasing foc, which will happen on a long broadhead. However, you are correct that 100 gr is 100 gr and higher foc will not make the arrow "fall" faster.

This just sounds like a simple tuning issue and raising the rest a little should fix the problem. Unless there is fletching contact.

Are you practicing with your lighted nocks? I have had experience with nockturnal lighted nocks shooting low with my broadhead arrows. I can shoot field tips and broadheads in one nice group and lighted nocks will always hit low.

The nokturnal nocks only weigh 7 grains more than my practice ones. But yes I have shot both, and have no difference.... Could it have something to do with my veins not lining up EXACTLY with my broadhead?

I might have to do that for now but Its not right so I might end up shooting a different broadhead. Its simply not right and my bow was just tuned this year. I think its more or less a confidence thing when practicing...
