    Hello from Indiana,
I'm fairly new to bow hunting so I have very limited knowledge of the sport. I have a question about arrow alignment. I have recently paper tuned my Bear Cruzer. Looking at the arrow alignment, I noticed that the arrow skews to the left of center while in the rest. (whisker biscuit) Even with this skew I do get a bullet hole every time. My sight however is adjusted as far to the left as it can go. What causes this skewing and what can I do if anything to change it? Thanks for your replies!

The skew is cause by the arrow rest being not centered. The reason you are getting a bullet hole through paper is most likely a kink in your form that is causing the arrow to come off straight (with a rest out of center shot spec) for the first couple feet like that (probably grip, facial pressure, or possibly nock pinch) or an excessive amount of cam lean. It could be arrow spine or fletching contact on your cables as well. So your bullet hole is telling you that you have adjusted your rest to account for some imperfection. This is why the paper tune isn't a complete bow tune, more steps need to be done like walk back or broadhead tuning to get a bow shooting lights out

Thank you for your reply. I do have fletching/ cable issues and most likely form issues as well since I'm new to the sport. Is there a glide that will eliminate the issue with the cable? Don't have a lot of money to spend on going to a pro shop so any help I can get through this format will be greatly appreciated.

As far as form, there are a lot of good videos on youtube, check out John Dudley from nock on in particular. Its hard to type out form issues.

Pertaining to your cables, are you 100% sure you are getting contact? There are several ways to verify like putting lipstick/nailpolish/dap of paint/baby powder/etc.. on your vane and seeing if it shows up on your cable. Then as far as a solution; you can twist your nock so your cock vane is pointing away from your cables at a 90 deg angle to get maximum clearance. Or switch vanes.

When I knock the arrow the vain touches the cable so I know it has to affect the flight. I'll try turning my knock to see if that helps. Thanks for your help!

Can you turn the cable guard to give more clearance? Arrow should be straight off the bow.

Unfortunately no. It's a straight bar so there's no adjustment. I've adjusted the nocks on the arrows and gave them clearance that way so I'm going to try that. Looked at a few videos on form so I'm going to try and work on that too. Hopefully all will start heading in the right direction soon. Spent to.much.money not to get it right.
