ArmourDillo Cam Protector By: HeDog Archery Made for both: Solid Limb Cam Guard & Parrell Limb Cam Guard While at the ATA Show in Columbus Ohio this year I came across and item that stopped me in the aisle way and drew me back to a booth that offered an item I thought was of a great benefit to bowhunters. They are made by HeDog Archery out in Arizona and they are called ArmourDillo Cam Protector. Designed for either solid limb or parrell limb bows these baby’s are awesome. Utilizing and injection molding and their proprietary blend of shock absorbing material to help not only to stop limb vibration but also provide a durable cam protector for when you need lean, set your bow down or while climbing a hill. The cam protector has been tested in every punishing condition that the guys at HeDog Archery could think of as stated on their website. Providing the most strength with their Grid –Truss design and a aerodynamic design for zero speed loss. HeDog’s proprietary combination of materials are tested and found to dampen limb vibration. The ArmourDillo weighs barley over 2 ounces and being on the bottom cam there is absolutely no added weight felt on your bow. Each 1/8” cross section provides the following: Impact resistance of over 27 foot pounds, tensile strength of over 38,000 psi and flexural strength over 59,000 psi as taken from their website. Provided in the kit is everything you will need to mount the ArmourDillo to your limbs including the alcohol swab to clean the area for the 3M adhesive pads. Installation time on both bows was under 30 minutes but make sure areas are prepped properly so the top or the body does not slip. The gripper that is mounted on the bottom is a quality rubber pad stamped with the ArmourDillo name and replacements are available on the website. I have to say that this is one of the more exciting accessories I saw so far this year and already have utilized its use at spot league. I look forward to its use this spring for turkey season and deer season. Review written by: Gary Elliott GarysBowhunting.com Facebook.com/GarysBowhunting
