When I lived in Arkansas I hunted a lot of them. For the most part they were pretty good. Some have permit drawings and others are open so check the rules closely. Near Lake Conway was one and you have to learn to hunt the hunters. They moved the deer a lot and I had good success there while in UCA. Google maps now can really help in scouting. Some along the rivers will close due to flooding but a boat really can get you into some great hunting.
I appreciate it, I actually scouted three separate ones near Rogers, first day in 30 minutes and scored a nine point buck for my team. Sent from my XT1585 using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
The bow only or permit WMAs get way less pressure. I have hunted a few near Little Rock. Usually see deer, yet to have one in bow range. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Arkansas probably has the best public land when compared to most states. I hunt there every year. I killed a huge 130 9 point last year in the ouachita national forest! I’m going to hit up a bow only one later this week and see how it goes. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
