Sorry, I went back and re-read the entire thread.....I still missed any case where this happened. Between Hook and Spear you have been pretty much owned from the start of this thread to the present. I didn't say one side had "all" the facts and "appropriate" logic...that's a misrepresentation of what I said or what I intended to say. I said no matter how much fact and logic is presented to you that you just come right back to previous points, even after you have to acknowledge that the previous point put forth by Hook was correct. I think we need to draw a distinction between universally accepted logic and logic from any one point of view. Both sides can claim a certain logic. However the point of a debate is for both sides logic to be presented and supported by fact and let it all be sorted out based on who presents the best of both. Perhaps neither side can ever agree to be persuaded by the opposing POV but the arguments are presented as much for public display and reflection as it is for trying to sway the other sides opinion. I agree in so far that this law was stupid, it should never have been needed as anyone should have the god given right to act as ignorant as they see fit as long as individual rights aren't being impeded. Nothing in the constitution acknowledges an individuals right to force a business to perform a retail sale to any individual as far as I know.
If that is your take on the thread I guess there is nothing more to say because I can't say what I am thinking. So I'll just bite my lip and move on.
Business should not take Politics, Religion, Race, Sexual Orientation when taking someones money. Money is green not matter who you are, who you love or what you believe.
Devil's Advocate: I can not make it illegal for you to be a Christian, but I can make it illegal for you to act like one.
I wonder what would happen if these same gay couples who are going after Christians went instead into a halal (Muslim) catering service and asked to have their wedding reception catered. Would they have the cojones to sue them, too?
