Are you willing to venture a guess at what the largest buck on any / all of your hunting lands (public / private) may be on any given year?

What about the largest that could be on your land every few years?

I am not just asking what you saw per say, but what you feel could be there as well.

I will say 155-160 any given year and 180+ every few years.

A guess is "anything is possible". Realistic is not what you are asking for, but if you were, I would say a 140" could walk by on any given day.

    Any given year? 150"
    Every few years? 170"

Odds of me killing either one? Slim.

Any given year, I would say mid 130" to low 140" range. As far as every 5 years or so go, I would push that up into the 160" range.... I sure that there have been years without a 130" buck as well as I am sure there have been bucks well over 160". I talked to a guy in turkey season that is a staff member for Mossy Oak, he was scouting some turkeys on the farm I have permission to hunt as they were planning on filming some hunts there and we got to talking about the deer on that farm... he swears that there is a buck he calls "the moose" that has a spread pushing the 30" mark with "atleast 14 points".... call me skeptical!!

Great Idea of a thread Scott!!!

    150 to 160 Incher.

Same as above. If I was asked these same questions 10 to 20 years ago the numbers would be much higher.

on my primary land, biggest is probably 110-120, biggest taken there has been a 110 non-typical (my dad)... racks simply don't get that big down in AL... need to put in more time in IL for a mounter.... :D

I would guess 160 on any given year. He may not live on the property, but he's close to it and passes through it. 170-180 wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility.....On one farm we see at least 1 buck that will go over 150 each of the last 3 years. Now we just gotta get it all to come together.

I don't know. I would guess 160ish, and that 160ish comes from around 45,000 acres. I believe some 140-150 class bucks have been taken over the years, but very rarely. The reason I say 160 is because I was driving home from work one night about 4 years ago around midnight. I saw a buck cross the road from a sub-division and entered into the military base I hunt. My jaw dropped. I would guess the biggest buck I have ever seen during daylight hours on base to be around 115-120, maybe 125. This buck punked them all by at least 20-30 inches. I was working two jobs that year and could not get out to hunt at all in late December after I saw that buck.

So I would say a 130 incher every year, a 150 incher every 3 years.

Based on my one season at a couple of new spots here in SC I would venture these guesses...

    1. Our lease I would have to say 115-120" would be about max.

    2. 2000 acre state WMA I have seen with my own eyes a 145" beauty that was killed year before last. Rare yes, possible yes.

My answers above are based on what myself, other hunters on the same grounds, and neighbors have killed or seen over the years.
