I wonder how many hunters don't vote on election day because they are in a tree all day long or hunting another state? If you plan on being out of town November 8th you may want to get an absentee ballot. The link below is an application I found for my state. http://www.michigan.gov/documents/AbsentVoterBallot_105377_7.pdf
I always try and vote by absentee ballot just in case something happens on election day. (though this year it is the choice between the greater of two evils for sure!)
I've voted absentee most my life because deployments etc could have me out of town for voting. after leaving the military have continued in case hunting or civilian work pulls me out of area. (having spent 24 years in the military, 18 months in Afghanistan as a civilian, and observing the changes in our country and the world in the last 7 years...the choice isn't so hard for me...in fact getting a lot easier...)
My dad always complained that we only had 1 day to vote, he would be happy with the early voting now. I do not plan to be hunting that week, so it is not a problem for me, but if it was, I would vote early at my convenience.
When the choices are either Vomit or Extrement, one could understand why a person could have higher priorities on election day this year.
I always take the first two weeks of November off so I usually miss election day. However, I ALWAYS make sure I have voted absentee. Blessings..........Pastorjim
Unfortunately I live in NY so my vote really DOESN'T matter (unless it counted for a million votes, damn it NYC!!!)
