Simple question. Do you prefer a certain brand of bow, arrow, camo pattern, etc.? Why? I'm partial to Bear products. Not because I think they are better than anything else but because I just haven't tried anything else. I really have no preference when it comes to camo patterns, however, my daughter tells me that fashion sense prohibits the mixing of Mosey Oak and Realtree. Sent from my Q10 using Tapatalk
In someways I am. Reason being that some company's tend to produce consistent lines of products...and if one suits me chances are their future products might also.
I don't think the deer care what the hunter is wearing or shooting. Personally, I think when you're buying comparably priced bows, the differences in them are very small, and in the real world probably don't matter much. I also think most people try to compare a $300 bow with a $1000 bow and say that the $1000 bow manufacturer is "better". Of course that model is better, you're not comparing apples to apples. It doesn't really matter if the bow has a speed of 260 or 320. Dead is dead. I think you should shoot and wear whatever gets you into the woods, and you should take your fashionista daughter too.
Here you go, introducing logic into the conversation. Lol. You are right on all points, of course but sometimes brand loyalty is nothing more than habit or tradition. My daughter's fashion advice came when we were looking at a set of floor mats and a steering wheel cover for her car. That is until she noticed that they didn't match... Smh, teenage girls, what you gona do with them. Sent from my Q10 using Tapatalk
I am with some things like camo patterns and I prefer Mathews bows but I wouldn't mind looking at other brands.
I do try to support companies that have good reputations with A+ ethics. If I know a company supports certain "agendas" I avoid them like a plague.
I'm brand loyal to PSE bows. I'm addicted to speed! The high end DNA, Full throttle and the new Decree coming out. they are not for everyone, no silky smoothness in the draw, barely any valley, but the speed is unmatched by ANY brand out there regardless of the "IBO" ratings say. To each there own though! I was very close to switching to Mathews this past summer, but just couldn't do it! Maybe for next season??
growing up I shot bows from Hoyt, Bear, High Country, Browning, and PSE. after I shot my first PSE in the mid 90s I was hooked and never looked back and have been with PSE ever since, as far as other things go once I started hunting again I'm loyal to Scentblocker, Rip Cord arrow rests, I don't have a loyalty to camo patterns I have both Realtree and Mossy Oak. BH I either shoot Rage 3 blade for a mechanical and for fixed blade I shoot G5, Ameristep ground blinds. I really like Gorilla climbing sticks, I have 2 Gorilla treestands one hang on one climber and an ameristep hang on so no loyalty on treestand brand. so am I brand loyal I'd say yes for the most part
I am to Mathews bows, Millennium treestands and DDW scent elimination products. Everything else is depends on the season and place I am hunting.
Some things yes like HOYT is my bow i've used many and this bow is my favorite by far. Now camo is mainly mossy oak or real tree. Arrow i try them all honestly, and Rage so far are my favorite broad heads. But like michi said the deer honestly dont care but its on you what you honestly like and what works for you the best. Once i find a brand i really like i stick with it. Things honestly that make the difference i will spend the money on, others that dont matter to much i'll find sales for first lol
Not really. I've had Parker and now a House bow and likes them both. I would try another brand as well and if it felt good I'd use that. As far as camo, tonight I had predator pants and shirt, sitka hat, Mossy oak right glove and Realtree left glove so not so much loyalty in camo for me. I have become quite fond of NAP broadheads though.
I love my Hoyt but I can't say for sure it'll be my next one... About my only strict loyalty is to Gold Tip arrows, they are just super tough. I switch broadheads all the time and mix my camo up a lot. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I started wit Bear bows ( 3 in a row ) too many years ago to say. Shot a PSE for years after that, then a Parker, an Oneida, and now a Bowtech. I have used Wasp broadheads for probably 20 years. BUT I buy a new release every year just to see if I find one better than the Carter I keep ending up shooting for season each year. So I guess I'm not too brand loyal. Just a little bit
Bear, Muzzy, Gold Tip, Dead Down Wind, and Primos. I'm partial to any particular style of camo clothing and I have yet to find a boot I really like.
