Here's the idea, a topic is chosen and everyone interested posts one photograph that best describes that topic. At the end of the week we vote on whose photo best represented the topic. The winner then picks the next topic. The person who picks the topic cannot enter a photograph that week. Are you all interested?
Sounds fun! Iowa Veteran- I have a crazy day ahead and haven't had a chance to get out with the camera this week. I will this weekend though so I will give you a ring next week.
I'm game. Been looking for an excuse to shoot some more photos anyways. The only thing I'd change is that the person who creates that week's challenge can still take a photo and enter it, but can't win.
Or someone can take a picture then pick the next topic and whoever gets the pic first, post and pick a new topic. That could last for awhile. I saw that on another forum and seemed pretty cool.
Cool idea but I like the idea of having a week or so to really focus on quality. Think that idea will get people to snap a quick pic just to win and move on. Think it would be cool to focus on really getting some great pictures and even getting a chance to work on picture enhancement skills!
OK, Modified Rules: 1. Topic is picked (I'll do the first one) and people have until the following friday to enter their photograph; 2. On Saturday and Sunday, people will vote for the best photograph for that topic; 3. Each BH.Com member can only enter ONE photo per topic; 4. Each photograph entered MUST be taken by the person entering the contest (no trailcam photos, no posting photos from other people); 5. Photograph has to be taken AFTER the challenge is posted (no going back through previous pic's to find something to fit the topic); 6. At 6:00 PM Central Time on Sunday, whoever has the most votes, picks the next topic; and 7. The person who picks the topic can enter a photo, but is not eligible to win. If we can get JZ to open a forum so the threads don't get jumbled in with others, that would be freaking awesome. JHuff, your idea for a photo scavenger hunt is cool, but I'd like to see quality photos done by members of the forum versus quick snapshots to win.
I was just waiting to see if we could get a separate forum where each thread would be the week's challenge. If we can get it done real quick, I'll have the topic posted today. If not, I post it on here this evening.
