I hear ya on that one!!!! I spent like 2k on my last set (simmons beautyrest pillow, king size)... probably due for another onein about a year or two... we'll be swapping to a different brand at that time... fwiw - a good mattress is worth much more than a few good nights sleep, it makes you feel much better all day long... over the course of the 10-15yr life of a good mattress it seems a pittance to spend that much for the amount of benefit you get from it...

You shouldn't let your lab go out drinking!

I sleep on my back, my sides, face planted... on the floor, a chair... but I toss and turn where ever I am. My sheet looks like a rope in the morning.

Obviously I don't have to worry about a ball stomp but my shoulder goes back and forth between pain and my whole arm going numb so I can't ever really get comfortable.

Kendall can practically sleep while standing.. and no matter what position he's in... he snores. Loudly. Which is why I have my own bedroom. :D

Exactly! It amounts to less than $200 a year and the health benefits are worth more. Think about it, if you sleep in bed 6 hours a night you spend one fourth of your life on that mattress. It will have a physical effect on your body and on your health.

Ultra, I tried sleep meds for one month a couple of years ago. I slept great. BUT I heard that it is unwise to become reliant on sleeping medication. So even though I slept better than ever I never went back to get more. I am not on any medication and I would like to keep it that way.

I can sleep anywhere, any time, any position. No problems in the sleeping department.

Now, staying awake is another deal.

I understand that ultra. I have beaten my body down as well and I am turning 37 this year. I am starting to feel a bit more pain in my body as compared to just a few years ago.

I can sleep any which way possible. Sounds to me like you need to invest in a better mattress.

I usually fall asleep sleeping on my back. Then it's side to side throughout the night with a pillow between the legs. I can never sleep on my stomach. I also used to (still do once in awhile) have some serious sleeping disorders.

I sleep one way, in the spoon position. I spoon the wife and fall asleep. I use a pillow when she's gone.

I can sleep on the floor, chair or anywhere. I can fall a sleep faster with loud noises... such as vaccum, TV, music and ect...

Wife won't let me sleep on my back cause I snore. I tell her I snore so she wakes up and takes advantage of me while I sleep.

In bed, I usually sleep on my side or the other side. My back if I can get away from it.

I can not sleep on my stomache.

Tend to have nightmares when sleeping on my back. Don't know why but it has been that way since I was a kid.

I've been sleeping on my stomach for YEARS! Until recently, I've tried sleeping on my back and I've been getting better sleep. It seems so unnatural to me. Throughout the night, I somehow end up back on my stomach.

Rybo...I do the arms under me thing too.
