I too thought it odd that people became unhinged and got so animated when I answered the question he asked. But I should clear something up. You posted. “Rancid said he doesn't care for sports” I said : There is not a single team from any game (pro or college) that I follow. Hunting is a sport. activities with a ball, puck, etc are “games” or “matches” (ie baseball game, football game, basketball game) I’m more inclined to participate in sports like hunting, fishing, etc than watching games.
Like RC, I dont follow sports at all. I have never sat and watched an entire football game on television and really just dont care to. There are too many other things that I either need to do or would like to do than spend my free time in front of a television watching sports. That being said, I do enjoy catching a few minutes here and there of March madness college basketball. I could not name three players in the entire country though. I dont begrudge anyone of having a fascination with sports, its just not my thing. I do wonder what some folks would have been able to do with their life or for the lives of others if they didnt spend so many hours per week on their obsession with sports. That includes bowhunting. Flame away.....
