I shed hunted yesterday and grabbed my camera when I was out there. I covered the area the camera was in good but didn't find anything. When I got home and looked at the pictures this is what I found. Are they the same deer? Date and time are off but only 3 minutes apart.

    I'm sure they are Dan.

That sucks.. if you had a Bushnell or one of the other better trailcams in place of your Cuddy you likely would have had about 30 pics of those lost 3 mins... maybe showing that lost antler flying through the air.

My Cudde always misses so much too.

Next year I'll try a couple new ones. I'm just pissed I didn't find it yesterday

Find a program that you can zoom in on the heads to see if there is a red dot or the antler is hidden from the other deer.

You need a Hyperfire from Reconyx. Hyperfire means no lost time....expensive but you no longer have to wish to see what you missed already.

i just loaded the picture into a program i have, and although it's tough to really tell, i'm sure i can see the base of the horn coming up. the beam looks like it's still there as well, but somewhat hidden by the dark line of the ear. the picture gets pretty grainy when it's zoomed in. but i'm sure it's still there.

I agree. Holding the computer to my face it does look like he is still packing that antler in the second picture.
