I think I would of had a great day if I was able to shoot some of these tarpon in Sanibel Island Florida this past week. I went down there for vacation and was swimming with the kids. The next thing I saw was a bunch of seagalls and Pelicans diveing into the water. I watched a little longer and then the fish started jumping. I got out my camera and this is the best shot I got. They fed on the feeders fish or what ever they where eating for a long time. So the question is if I did have my bow could I have shot the Tarpon legally?

I'm not positive but I believe that you can not even keep a tarpon caught on rod and reel.
    I don't think I'd be shooting one.

    Tarpon

I live there and you can keep a tarpon if you buy a tag. Otherwise it is catch and release. I believe the tag is $50.00.

    Awesome pic dawg
I know you need a tag to catch and keep one but i don't know if you can shoot one with a bow even if you have a tag

I don't think you could shoot one with a bow but not sure.

You can't shoot a Snook with a spear gun I know that.

Also, you'd better have it hooked to a real because you would surely lose your bow.
Those big tarpons haulass and will rip your arm off on a rod and reel.

    Great photos though.
