I didnt know that? Thats why I asked? Sure, I find trophy hunting discusting, do I not have a voice, or opinion....because, thats all it is, just my opinion, obviously there are those who agree with me and so far more that dont, and thats ok. I've already been schooled a few times in this thread in whats percieved to be a troll or ignorance, etc and I've accept it for what it is and moved on, so now, I feel more like I'm being attacked or trolled on. Cant we just agree we disagree on some things?

If you want a troll (or assume I am), why dont you ask me somethings I'm an expert on like religion, philosophy, Mt Biking, guitar playing, growing marjuana, cats. On second thought, its OT and not my style or thing. Good day friends.

Thats what I believe too, just cant see why anyone would want to kill apex predators, but like I just said in my previous post, its just my opinion. Its a very emotional thing to me, just thinking of taking the life of a mountain lion even in self defence breaks my heart and makes me cry, ok I didnt cry, but when I saw the pictures of the beautiful mountain lion at my trail head and the warnings that came with the picture, I looked into that majestic creatures eyes and tears began to well up in my eyes - and I thought to myself just how sad and unfortunate it would be if I ever had to kill one.

I only kill things I eat. Deer, turkey, duck, etc etc. I think hunting predators to maintain healthy populations is perfectly fine.

It really is not that hard to kill a coyote, fox or bear just pick a spot and shoot. Hope to add wolf to that soon.A mountain lion would be cool.

I am curious why someone would feel more remorse for killing a predator vs a prey animal. You can eat mountain lions.

Animals will still die if humans don't kill them. And most animal populations are better/healthier when humans do kill off a portion of them. This is called management.

I can show you pictures of coyotes and foxes with mange, raccoons dying from distemper, mountain lions that are emaciated. It's not Disney out there. :)

Makes perfect sense to me. It sounds typical of what I've heard about the 60's. Peace, love and tranquility, man. Maybe Davidmil or Iowaveteran could give us some "first-hand experience" input.

Nah, the Mayans just ran out of rock to chisel their calendar on. If only they had picked a bigger rock to start with we could have another thousand years or so.
