I have pretty short arms. My draw length is around 26".

When I purchased my bow this year, they fitted me with arrows. Once I put on my broadheads, I noticed that the blades both mechanical and fixed are directly above my left index finger.

I can reach up and touch the blades. Are the arrows too short?

    Don't reach up. :p

It is typical for the arrow to be 1" past rest .

If it is a containment sryle rest then I wouldn't be worried. If it is an older style that the arrow could fall off, it could be an issue

Like tfox said keep your fingers down. As long as your broad head is not touching your rest and is a little bit in front of it you should be fine. But really we would need more details about your setup to be sure.

Ok, that makes me feel better. My broadheads sit about 1" past the front of the bow.

Agreed, one should not reach up with their index finger. I just thought I would ask.

I can't thank you all enough. I have found a forum with a wealth of knowledge.

They should be fine just dont try to touch them like everyone else said lol. But i work at a proshop we cut customers arrows right at the front of there bows riser unless they ask otherwise just to give you a good idea where they should be cut at. You really shouldnt cut them past the riser or right in front of the rest but some guys like it and take that risk.

With a full containment rest and the amount of shelf clearance built into most of today's risers, I would think your fine.

Your fine, arrow length is a personal choice...Normally I cut most of mine about 1" in front the rest at full draw...I tend to shoot faster bows that like a stiffer spined arrow and the shorter the arrow shaft the stiffer the spine.
