Ok so you increased a tad bit more than 1 lbs of ke... that doesn't seem to be a very big increase.. now I have always agreed that the sound aspect a heavier arrow will always be a quieter bow but lets face it all bows make noise whether or not they are QUIET to us the still make noise and sounds travels at 1088 fps... so unless you have a bow shooting over 1088 feet per second it doesn't matter how QUIET it is the sound will always get to the deer faster than the arrow traveling at 280 FPS.. BUT you lost 20 fps of arrow speed.... if my math Is right *which I could be wrong but it'll be close* 20 fps slower will drop your arrow around 10 inches at 40 yrds... I'll just keep my light arrows which gives me the speed for better accuracy and I know they have just as much KE as the slower heavier arrow so they will both blow through a deer equally if using the same broadhead! i'll have have the advantage of being more accurate and shooting just a little bit farther away than the heavier arrows which seems like the better advantage to have over a QUIETER shot that doesn't make a difference anyway because sounds travels way faster than that bow ever will!
I'm not saying you're wrong, everyone has different needs in hunting My property won't present shots over 20 yards so I don't need to send lasers out there, but I'll take the sound and as much extra ability as possible in case I hit a shoulder. Now if you hunt where you have longer shots and have to quickly estimate distance that speed would come in handy. There is no real wrong answer when discussing any arrow weight that us reasonable in weight if we're hunting deer and smaller All I can say is in my experience I've had pass throughs with light fast arrows ans heavier slower arrows. Personally I like not to hear the thwack of the bow dumping all the energy that wasn't transfered into the arrow
Your right there really isn't a wrong or right answer to this debate its all in personal preference which is what makes archery one of the best sports in the world because its SO versatile and has many options for many people... which ever way you prefer both will kill a deer and once the deer is dead that's what its all about doesn't matter how you killed it lol
