I have been throwing around the idea of setting up mutible decoys at a location to try and get those late bloomers to come close so that I can prick them with my arrow. Has anyone here ever tried setting up a mock herd as an attractent? if so what are the tatics you use?

I'm not sure whether or not your idea would work it sounds good, but the more fake deer that are out there, the quicker the real ones are going to figure out something is up.

But it does bring up a question I have often wondered about, and that is how much deer trust one another. A couple times this season I have watched deer calmly feed unaware of my presence in the woods, only to have a deer start blowing at something (once it was my tracks into my stand) a couple yards away. Both times they bolted. Then again, I would be hunting my food plots, and a doe or two might get suspicious and blow and stomp at me a couple times, while the other deer paid no attention to her. Crazy critters deer are.
