A Big enough Python will hunt you down if you happen upon it like a wolf. They are one huge muscle with needle llike reversed teeth for gripping and holding a prey item. Once the get beyond 8ft. Those teeth are like sharp wood nails.

I've seen one take 20 blows to the head when i WAS IN Singapore on a port visit . Blood pouring from it and it wouldn't let go of a bus axle with 8 adult men pulling on 3ft of it's tail. After about 30 more blows did the snake let go and another 15 to kill it.

A guy in Florida told me he once seen some guys let a Pit Bull loose on a 10ft snake as sport.. He said those guys was crazy the snake was trying to get away at first then it went in on that Pit and that's all she wrote.

    I believe him 100%!

A Big enough Python can't swallow an adult human because of your shoulders are too wide a deer shoulders are rounded.....Now a small child a Python would have no problem.

A child between newborn and 13 years of age around a 10 ft Burmese would be a general size. A person of small stature would be ample for a snake of that size.

Consider the snake in the story.. Let's say it was let go at 8ft of length. It's what 16 ft long? For a snake to get that size it has to have enough heat to help it digest quickly and an ample food supply. Snakes like this can grow to compensate it's enclosure or area the more food it gets the bigger and faster it grows.

A snake like that in it's native land would take about 10-12 years to attain that size depending on the food source. With the native animals in the Glades that snake may have been 7-10 years old and that's damn scary.

Here's a question for you: If an Alligator is 12ft long How high can it jump clear of water? I'll answer that at 10pm eastern time.

Big Pythons have been known to try to grab people from boats. Sure they seem docile because their slow, but don't be fooled they are very dangerous period.

Make no mistakes I love snakes, but when a snake reaches 4ft or longer you've got a situation.

Thirteen Foot Burmese Python Kills Owner

    Thursday - October 10, 1996.

According to the New York Times, 19-year old Grant Williams of 365 East 183rd Street Bronx died as the result of an attack by his 13 foot long Burmese Python which may have mistaken him as food.

The victim was found at about 1:30 PM on October 9th by a neighbor lying in a pool of blood with the snake coiled around his torso in the hallway of his apartment building. He was pronounced dead at Jacobi Medical Center. An ambulance crew removed the snake from the victim and it was taken to the Bronx Zoo.

According to the report, Williams and his 17 year old brother, Lamar, purchased the snake at a local pet store known as Pet City about five months ago for $300.00.

Here's the answer to my question....If an Alligator is 12ft long how high can it jump out of the water?

An alligator tail is so strong if it wanted it could propel it 12 ft out of the water. Something to think about the next time you're in gator filled waters.

    Peep the below photo....

    Are you sure????

NEW – 3-foot alligator caught in Pa. creek May 31, 2011

BETHLEHEM — Bethlehem police say they captured a 3-foot-long alligator after a resident spotted it going over a waterfall.

Police say it took several rounds of hide-and-seek before they could remove the reptile Sunday from the Monocacy Creek.

They say the alligator hid in deep water beneath the falls several times before Officer Eric Yeakel captured it.

A local reptile expert confirmed it was an alligator and took it to a reptile store for treatment.

Bethlehem Police are seeking the public’s help in determining how it ended up in the creek.

I spent two years in Guam where the Brown Tree snakes have completely wiped out the birds and other native species. Pretty much all that is left wild is monitor lizards, an overabundance of hogs, Sambar deer, and kazillions of toads. The island flourished with wildlife before the snakes showed up. To make things worse, Florida isn't the only place where the snakes have been released and scientist are concerned they may survive and spread.

I'm thinking that photo is a croc. Missing leg... and certainly not a gator leaping 1 1/2 times its length into the air. Tourists sitting comfortably 3 feet away like they are in Sunday School? I'm not buying that one and the photo seemingly originated in the U.K.

Quite True...I've always had a dream of catching a Largemouth Bass in Florida and just when I reached down to pull it from the water..A huge Croc would jump up and pull me in.

I've had that dream every year since I was 12 years old. Right after the first time my dad took me fishing. when I studied Herpetology, when I wanted to be a Zoo Director I was always afraid of gators.

Once when i was float tube fishing I had brushed a log with my fins and it surfaced in front of me and I damn near had a freaking stroke, heart-attack, seizure, and soiled waders all the same time.

Like I said I love snakes, but them darn gators the'll get you. In less than 6 inches of water they'll get ya!!
