Anyone experienced with how arcticshield sizes their clothing? Specifically the 3 in 1 parka. My son has outgrown all his gear and I'm about to order and I'm torn on size. He is a thick,(not fat) soon to be 16 year old with some more growth expected. His chest is big and he weighs in at about 190# and just under 5'10" but he isn't fat, just solid. I let him try my sitka large fanatic jacket and it was tight, but I know sitka is fitted and runs a little smaller than most.

I'm leaning toward XL knowing he will be doing some more growing but if the gear is big to begin with, a large might suffice.

I wear a medium for my clothes and everything seems to run true with artic shield products. My jacket fits a little tight but not bad. It's not the 3 in 1 parka though.

I'm leaning toward the XL as i'm pretty sure he will grow into it. He is spending his money on it so I don't want to buy him something that he will outgrow in a few months, especially something this expensive.

Definitely that's what I would do in his case. I love my artic shield stuff and it holds up well.

That's a 2 hour drive and not sure if they have it in stock yet.

I just ordered it so we will see in a few days.

Oddly enough, the medium bibs ruttwear he is wearing now still fits so I'm going with a large in the bibs.
