It does happen on occasion that bad info gets started here, but it usually gets corrected pretty quickly. With the amount of members we have here now, it will get increasingly more difficult.

There, it gets regurgitated from poster to poster over and over until it becomes "fact"

The form threads are the worst. Regardless of the form issue, there is always a your draw length is too long comment. You're leaning back so your draw is too long.:D . Your anchor isn't "right" so your draw length is too long.

There are some VERY knowledgeable people there. No questions about it, the problem is the average person is going to have a difficult time weeding through the bad to get the good.

When I first started posting there several years ago, there were many top pros that were regulars. I watched many of them get run off over the years. There are a few that still make appearances but not like they used to.

My level 4 coach even quit posting there years ago. Reason, he told me he was tired of having people that didn't know keep telling him what he knew to be fact, wasn't right. This guy has coached world record holders, tuned the bows that set them and coached at the olympic training center.;)

AT has more than 10x as many members, your gonna get the Rif Raf. If this place had just as many members we'd have the same here as well.
The members that know their way around archery and have skin thicker than rice paper have stuck around. Those that are willing to learn will pick up on who to pay attention to and who to ignore.... I learned pretty quick after I joined years ago. It seems like a good percentage of the newer members over there know everything or they just wanna stir the pot.

A lot of the guys that didn't stick around just don't have the time or desire to constantly explain the same things over and over.

Has nothing to do with thick skin.

I agree about the numbers but the new guy will have an extended learning curve if he chooses the wrong ones to listen to.
