Located in St. Endeavor, Wi. Archery Shooter Systems Inc. President Tony Bergh has created the Hammer Bowhangers. The Hammer Bowhanger comes in a single, double and six bow hanger systems. There is also wall mounts as well, that hold up to six bows. I had the pleasure of reviewing the double and single Bowhangers.
Let’s start with the single Hammer Bowhanger which was developed for use in the blind or in a tree stand. You say in a tree stand? Yes tree stand, The single bow holder can be used in your ground blind, then will come apart and the top half screws into a tree giving you a flexible holder while in your tree stand.
The double bow holder as is the single and all of Tony’s creations are well constructed metal hangers that accommodates one or two bows and has a rubber cover on each peg to protect your bow.
The way the system works is, the top half slides over the bottom half of the holder. The bottom has a wedge that is driven into the ground by lifting and hammering the top half onto the bottom half driving the wedge into the ground allowing any of his hangers to be used in the hardest of soils. I found the hangers both to be easily driven into the ground and I did have some hard clay and the hammer system allowed me to drive it in and then I had a stable holder. The same is true when taking it out of the ground with no struggle, just lift and hammer the top up and this lifts your hanger out of the ground.
How many times have you struggled with trying to get a holder into the ground only to hurt yourself or gone to get a hammer and then broken your holder. Well the system Tony has created the “hammer system” takes the issue out of the equation forever. For more information on these and other Bowhangers go to www.bowhanger.com and watch Tony’s movie and look at the other products such as the indoor hangers for archery events whether they are for a club, church or school event.
