I know there has to be some people on here from South Dakota, just wondering if any one hunts around the same areas I do? I mainly hunt in the Northeast part of the state, any one else up in this neck of the woods?

I have deer hunted in about every corner of the state except the NE. I do quite a bit of fishing up there, though. I actually have a cabin near Waubay.

I have bought preference points for the refuge hunts for two years now. One year I will cash them in, and I will probably go to the Waubay Refuge.

Minnewasta, Rush, Blue Dog, Enemy Swim. Do some bowfishing around Grenville, also.

I hunt up in the NE corner. All of my dads family are still farmers in Eden. You are probably familiar with it if you fish all those lakes up there. Can't wait for the season to start on the 28th. Put by trail cameras up last weekend when I was out hunting for early goose season

Cool to see some guys in the neighborhood. Enemy Swim used to be one of my favorite lakes to fish but now there seems to be so many bass I have not made it up there as much. Caught many monster walleyes out of that lake in the past. I have had the 28th marked on my calendar for a long while now, I just about cant wait.

I would love to be able to archery hunt up there, but I just don't have the connections to get ground. My sister lives in Milbank and my girlfriend has family in Kranzburg and Watertown so I spend quite a bit of time in the area. The country clearly has big whitetail!
