80% of my hunting is out of a tree. I don't stalk much. I don't have the patience to move so slow that it looks like I'm sitting still anymore. Now I'm more into the just sitting still part.:d

i have only hunted in a tree, this season ill do alot of the same thing, but ill probanly sit on wood pile or some other kind of blind if conditions are right.

stalking is something im gonna have to try maybe this year as well, only one way to learn.

ok well i just like being able to enter my hunting grounds disturb as little as possible .sneak in sneak outr .that type of thing.i also like having the option of making a move if i need to. another benefit is that when there are 20and 30 mph winds which is common i dont wanna be blowin around in no tree. that and when it is blowing i take that oppurtunity to sneak right in them ol boys bedroom an wait on em to come retire for there morning siesta. busted alot of deer like that.another big help is i stay all day from dark to dark, that is probably one of the biggest pointers i could give anyone. i know it makes for long days but it is often worth it.what yall think. oh yeah and as soon as i figure out how to get these freakin pics on this site i will be happy to show yall a couple of these little ol indiana bucks.

I grew up thinking that you could only kill a deer with a bow from a tree. I've since realized that not to be ture. I've killed a couple from the ground, its fun, but so is sitting in a tree. I'll do both and enjoy each.

I've shot them both ways here in IL...obviously prefer the tree more as that is how I spend most my hunts. I hunt decent size timber which basically eliminates stalking unless the hardwood leaves are soaking wet or the wind is over 25mph. I do have a a natural ground blind I enjoy a few hunts a year, as the dear get mighty close...great way to break the kids in as well.

    skippy308,

Just email me those pictures and I will post them for you if you want. That way it's no hassel. An email is a piece of cake.
