Why I didnt join one years ago is beyond me. Having been spending the last few Fridays at our local kenoshabowmen with the family during family night has been so much fun. The family has really enjoyed this and I would of never thought in a million years my city wife would of shot a bow and well she finally did and it was pretty cool. Ive had some old shooting habits that I have since found out I need to get rid of. So now I am going to join the club as with the indoor range it also has 4 different courses among so many other emenities. $180 to join of which $20 goes to join wisconsin bowhunters and the $100 is a first time initiation and $60 for membership. Each year thereafter $80 and that includes the whole family. I cant go wrong so my advice is if you can do it join a local club you will not regret it. Members have the same passion and everybody ive met thus far as been very nice. I am so looking forward to 3d this coming spring. T I know why Ive never joined just felt uncomfortable shooting around others thats all changed now.
I only wish we had one closer. The closest that I know of is 40 minutes, if it was 25, I'd join. I just don't get down that way much. I plan on attending their open shoots, but can't justify a membership. My friend (DoePeeSteve) lives down there and joined last year. He echos your thoughts. He loves the place and I can see why.
Last year I met up with Buckeye and Josh/OH at a club about 10 minutes from my house. Honestly I didnt know it was there until then. The following week I was in contact with the officers there to join it. After that, my son and I spent a couple days a week there. Its not as fancy as yours sounds but at $30 a year it was a no brainer considering I cannot shoot at my house.
