What are your guy's thoughts on archery clothing for a good back country western hunt on foot?

Not that know anything about hunt out west, but I think having a good layering system with whatever brands you choose. That way you can shed and add layers as needed. Don't rely on one jacket to keep you warm in 0 deg and not sweat when walking. And if you pay high dollar for anything. It should be footwear. You may even go by a running shoe store and get them to tell you your arch type. They will give you a lot of info on the type of support your foot will need.

This is what sitka does. The critical part is for those layers to be light weight and not bulky. This allows for comfort, mobility and pack ability.

I don't hunt out west either but I do have quite a but if sitkas whitetail line of clothes and it is great stuff.

I know there are other conversations on here about camofire.com but I thought I'd bring it up since they have a good bit of sitka gear for cheap (ish). bought a few things from them and they have lots of items each day different.

I thought I read that the guys that started KUIU also started Sitka then sold it? I could be mistaken though.

To the OP Sitka, KUIU, First Lite, are all good for western hunts or so they say. I have some pants from First lite and a few items from Sitka I like em both.

You are correct Sitka is owned by Gore now and one founder stayed the other started Kuiu.

Personally I love my Sitka gear.

Sitka makes great gear. I live out west and layer more then anything. Find whats comfortable and go for it.
