Damn we have people out here that will pay 3-4 times that. Went to the fin feather today to pick up some and all they had for 223 was that stupid zombie max stuff. 30 bucks for 20 rds I'll pass. I had a real hard finding even 22 lr for a decent price today though. Starting to really piss me out people buying up all the stock the moment it comes in, I'm far from panicking and spending thousands at this point. Some people just need to relax. Lol

I just looked at 'Cheaper' Than Dirt's ammo prices. Holy cow! What a bunch of Dbags. 130.00 for a 30 rd mag. Over a buck per round of .223/5.56!

On Sat. after the gun rally we went over to Scheel's in Springfield. I can say, we have far more .22 ammo on our shelf than they had in the whole store. I don't understand the shortage of .22lr ammo. Absolutely no .223 ammo in the store.

If I had the cash, I'd buy swaging dies and the doodads to start rolling my own bullets.

That is a vendor I will not spend any money at. Even before their stance on AR sales and gouging people on parts and ammo for those same AR's they were raping people on shipping charges.

I've never bought anything from them but I hear the name come up all the time. After the recent events, I swore I wouldn't. But I had no idea they'd gouge like that.

I saw a thing for skd tactical the other day, they had a deal goin called the "**shole-proofed pmag" they charged $35 for the mag but intead of it being for profit the extra money was donated either to the nra or special operations warriors foundation. Obviously they're out of stock like everywhere else but thought it was cool of them. I've always had good luck ordering from them and would suggest checking them out if you haven't.

So were you finally able to purchase it? I've wondered how they handled non-resident gun and ammo purchases here. I've never purchased ammo out of state either, not sure if I'd have to show my FOID to them as well.

I am good never buying anything from them. They gouged their prices the very next day after the shooting just so they could make a buck!

Hey CLS have you went to Scheels and seen if they have anything in stock. I have class Friday night at UIS but figured I would buzz over there afterwards and see if they have anything.

SCORED. One of the local shops has 223 PMC Bronze FMJ BT for $7.75 a box, 5 box limit. .39 cents a round isn't too bad right now. I got 5 boxes, sending my wife in later for 5 more. Probably going again tomorrow for another 5. He had about 3 cases left. From what I read, it seems to be a pretty good ammo.

Any one looking for any thing specific, that doesn't require a blood / DNA sample along with a photo ID to purchase?

It all depends on price per round and time when it becomes available. I'm not going to pay $1 a round or even a 67% mark up like Natchezss did with their federal ammo 2 days ago.
