Question for other IL residents, I have Cabelas, Palmetto, and Midway with my FOID information so far. Should I add any other places that are web friendly?

Herters is loaded by Sellier & Bellot which makes fantastic handgun ammo. I've ordered bulk before for my .22 Hornet as well and it was very good ammo. I wouldn't hesitate to order some if it was available and the price was right.

One ofeir Q & A's was if it was made by Sellier & Bellot and they wouldn't answer it. Doing some research it looks like it is steel cased and possibly WOLF under another name. A bit misleading as the image on their site, while for .30-06, shows it as brass cased. I'll see what it is when it gets here I guess.

That is the exact same federal Independence ammo I picked up, and posted earlier today on this thread for $219 from midway... Nice mark up Natchez pulled there.

Yeah, I tried to order what you had posted. Unfortunately I bought a house and moved 2 years ago so my adress on my DL didn't match my correct address on my FOID. Had to go get a corrected one and it was sold out by the time I got back 45 minutes later.

I did order 12 boxes of that Hertzers I posted earlier, thought t was brass cases but apparently it is wolf comparable steel cased? Ever heard anything on it? Good or bad

Why do you need a photo ID to purchase ammo online?

I have never shot any wolf ammo. Only steel cased ammo I have ever shot was Tul ammo and it ran fine.

In IL we have to hae a FOID(firearms owner identification) card in order to purchase guns or ammo. Cabelas requires a state issued ID along with the FOID on file in order to purchase ammo and We have to do so over the phone. I assumed all places were like that honoring some IL BS. I scanned and sent both to Cabelas, Palmetto and Midway. Still can't order from Palmetto or Midway until they reply they have it on file.

Wow... I have never heard of such a thing. Sorry for you and all IL gun owners... Crazy how one city can ruin a whole state.

Yep. Need to pass a background check to get the FOID. Need to have the FOID to buy or possess ammo. Need the FOID to buy or possess a gun. Even a pellet gun over 750 fps. And a muzzleloader. Need to have a FOID even for private transfers.

....and of course Illinois has no crime with firearms. It works sooooooo good. pfffftt!!!

I asked earlier, figured you'd probably be the best to ask. Any other sites I should create an account and send my info into?

Still wont open on my end. Takes 5-10 minutes to time out, sometimes it will open another page but then times out again. I bought 240 rounds for $140 earlier. Hope so anyhow, Cabelas wouldn't tell me if they had 12 boxes in stock or not and it sold out soon thereafter.

Got two 20 round mags in the mail today. Still waiting on the remaining 15 30rd mags. Now to sit back and let the prices fall hopefully.

Hmm.. I haven't bought ammo online in a long time. Seems you have the big ones covered.

We've been reloading. Of course, even reloading is tough now. Primers are going up. Bullets hard to find. It's nuts.

Illinois sucks a big hornets nest... I just about went ballistic on a guy at cabelas's when he wouldn't sell me ammo because I was a non-resident.

I can dang near walk into the armory in wyoming and drive out with an abrams. IL is ridiculous.
