    Applicant comes for job interview in Pair of Toms-is she a hire?

    We have an opening for a clerical position and I notice this gal filling out an application. I almost lost it when I saw her footwear.
    I am thinking she is an automatic. What do you think?

    She will get the job if your HR can check a few boxes or get some obama tax break for hiring a minority lesbian regardless of being the best person for the job or not.

    I didn't get that either.

    There's no way the girl in that picture would be hired for a clerical position here at St. Jude if she showed up for an interview dressed like that. Now if she was just filling out an application I can see that being a different situation.

    While it's true that you can't judge someone by their appearance, I think that the way someone dresses and presents themselves during an interview speaks volumes about the candidate.

    Any job where you have to fill out an application, that's who I'd expect to be filling it out. Professionals do resumes, not fill out applications so don't set your bar too high.

    Yeah, I have to admit that is kinda creepy. But her footwear was too much temptation, so I caved. And now I find out there not even Toms, but some other oddly named and ugly shoe.

    I agree, if she was just filling out an app, thats one thing. Interview is where you should judge them.

    Some people walk around in regular clothes filling out apps, when they get the interview and they're still in that, that's when you know that they wont take work seriously.
