I am thinking about planting 3-5 apple trees and maybe a couple persimmon trees. I have a 1-1/2 to 2 acre open area that is surrounded by trees. I have a food plot and a man made watering hole made from a natural spring less than 30yd from the food plot. There is bedding areas on two sides on the other side of the tree line. I believe this would be a great spot for apple trees. I plan on planting Yates and Limbertwig so that they are on the trees until late fall into prime bow season.

How many of you have apple trees and how well does it work having them on your property??

Check to make sure those apples are resistant to cedar apple rust or other diseases in your area and don't forget you have to have a male and female persimmon as only the female grows fruit unless it's grafted.Edward Fort Nursery has good trees.Check out qdma.com also
