Chaco if you see a bunch of bucks during rut in your food plot or at least does then you know bucks will be around i would hand at least one stand in corner of woods where tree line meets woods facing food plot. Its easy access and you said you see daytime bucks out there. Thats just my opinion but the less you have to go in the less you put out scent and have a chance of spooking. Good luck let us know what you do.

Junky, I currently have a elevated box blind set up on that plot. The challenge is it's very hard to predict when they are coming out. There is not pattern at all over last 3 years. And again the daytime sightings are slim. So I wanted to catch them coming in somewhere because I know at night they all over it. And I mean just after last light.

A few new pics. Not shooters but should be nice ones if they make it through this season. The May dates are incorrect, we think it is early August. We hung those cameras in July and must have forgot to set that one lol.

I have been a little discouraged. My family moved in May to Kansas and I had heard stories of how great Kansas hunting was. I have one 18 acre wooded area that I can hunt. I have only had does and raccoons all summer. I had one decent 8 pointer coming in but he needs another year.

    Here he is:

I checked cams today and he came back sorry for the fuzzy pic:

But finally my long summer and long hikes into the woods carrying 40 pounds of corn on my shoulders has finally paid off. This guy came in.......

I'm going to guess high 130's but I'm really not sure. It doesn't matter because he is def a wall hanger to me.

I went and checked my cams out on a farm in Oklahoma and got a decent 7. But I'm not going to spend $280 on an out of state tag when I'm planning on going to Ohio in November. Next set of trail pics I show will be of deer from the family farm in Ohio. In the meantime, here's the 7.

Nice bucks Joe! Mine aren't as big. How did you upload the pics. Mine are saved to a desktop folder. When I click insert image and select from computer and scroll to and click on the desired pics nothing happens even though I hit upload files. Any thoughts?

A lot of people use photo bucket or some other image hosting website. Then you can choose to use the URL instead of from the computer if it is giving you trouble uploading from the computer

I'm sure someone on this forum has written about this but I had to create a photobucket account. Just google it. Then you upload all your desired deer pictures. Then if you want to put them in a post, click on each individually and on the right hand of the screen on the photobucket website there is a share image section. Click next to the one that says IMG. Then paste it into your message here. The pictures will appear nice and large on here, instead of having to scroll over the image to see it. It takes more work than the typical upload but I think most people prefer to see them this way. I hope this helps.

I got bored and made a couple. One is based on the poster. One on the actual Apollo 13 logo. I am not saying we need to use these, just some ides.

Looks awesome! I really like the last one. Is there any way to make the deer lighter or make the rest of the logo lighter to make the deer stand out a little more? It still looks cool regardless. Thanks for taking the time to make those.

I actually tried to make them gold like the original but my Photoshop skills are lacking LOL.

I'll work on it later to try and lighten it up. I did one real quick but don't care for how it came out.

Edit: I made the deer more deer colored and put them in a line to look more like the original pic.

I really like the first one. The deer in the moonlight is awesome.

Here are two of the better bucks from today's pull. I put this camera out on Sunday after making a mock scrape. We have never seen the nontypical before but.the other buck is known as Sticker 9. The landowner missed him last December in late season.

This is actually a property I don't hunt anymore. My dad still hunts there which is why there are cameras there. The landowner didn't like me filming my hunts and using them on our show. He thought people would find out where I was hunting and they would come and hunt the property, even though I have never once said the county I hunt in on any of my hunts

Any other comments on the logos I made or ideas on logos?

Have you all been shooting? I shoot everyday, not because I need the practice I just enjoy it. I can shoot out to 50 yards and I have a ladder stand set up at 26 yards from my permanent target.

I like the one with a guy in the tree and the logo with the darker deer. I like he placement of those three deer better.

I haven't had time to shoot and I've been slacking. I need to sight in my hha again since I got new strings. I will probably be out all day Sunday shooting.

I shoot a couple times a week. I've never been a great shot but I bought one of those 18-1 targets by rinehart and I've been consistently hitting the cube at distances between 40-45 yards for the last week or two. So I'm making progress but most places I hunt I'm not going to have much of a shot passed 30 yards.

It's just trying to find the time to shoot now but I have to get on it now. I like to sight in out to 60 yards and there is only one place around me that I can shoot that far.

I shoot 60 yards regularly but would never take a shot on a deer over 40.

Hey guys...........it always amazes me how fast this thing gets rolling.

    Love the first logo!

Had a scare this year with our plots as the day we planted triggered a 3 week draught of 90 degree temps. Luckily our seed supplier is just plain awesome for the northeast and our stuff is growing well albeit a couple weeks behind.

Last year was a mess with factors beyond our control with neighbors and construction (survey crew walking amok all over the damn place half the year). No suck issues on the radar this year though.

Bucks so far have been OK.........good but not great. Never really been a good barometer for the season though as our land is more transitional then a destination point due to very large farms nearby and a lack of water.

If I don't score it sure as heck won't be from a lack of effort :)

Looks like we have some serious potential here.
