I finally got a chance to shoot my boy with the new Apache stab. on it and did a little comparison. First thing I would like to say is it look great. Now with that being said upon comparing all 3 stabs, they all had about the same vibration characteristics. My new carnage really doesn't have any hand shock without a stab. on it anyways so I know going in it was going to be hard to detect that. Upon putting it on the bow, the weight felt fine and as far as stabilizing the bow at full draw it did pretty good. It was kinda windy out and would like to give it another go on a calm day to really see the difference in the stabilization. Since it does have fins on it instead of a solid piece, sailing cut was down. I will be downloading some sound software and shooting my bow with different components on it to see how well everything is working. The testing will be done in my garage so that I can keep ambient noise down to a minimum and will report back with my findings. I would like to also hear if someone else has shot this stab. were you need a good sound dampening and can really tell if its making a difference. I bought this Apache more for the stabilizing than the sound dampening. If you would like to call it that.
Looks like a good stabilizer, but man that thing looks long could be camera angle though. I'm just going to stick with my limbsaver for now.
For what it's worth a guy at work got one for his hoyt and he said it's a total game changer. The bow is infinitely more quiet. He's been hunting for many many years and said it's one of the best purchases he's made.
