As mentioned in my "Not done after all" post, I have been granted permission to bowhunt Aoudad and javalina in SW Texas next late winter or early spring. The landowner told me not to go alone and that his campers will sleep 6. So far Rowel,(Rloving), and Kwilson have shown some interest. I am very serious about getting together with some of you and making this trip happen. A Texas non-resident 5 day license is $45. Who wants to go have some fun for 4 or 5 days hunting in the desert?
My personal goal is to kill an Aoudad with the Marquis and a Javi with the longbow.
So? Lets make it happen. I think February or March when temps out there are reasonable. Who is coming along?

I'm interested, I have to see if they are going to have the Texas Shoot-out this year though. There are rumors floating around that a ranch near Eagle Pass picked it up:d But if not I'm defiantly good to go!

    Greg.

I would love to go but will have to pass this time.

I am heading back to Australia for a month and I think Trish is gonna be in panic mode while I am gone and wont give me anymore time off:d

I will see if Kyle and the old boy want to go.

I mentioned it to the old guy last night on the phone! When I said bows he made some funny noises and jumpy sheep...he's scared of being stuck with me in the boonies I think.:deer: Big bend is my country...I'm a desert dweller year round!
