The IL legislature is at it again, an anti-gun special interest group, Americans for Responsible Solutions is working with the Chicago area democrats. They have submitted a bill that would essentially remove all gun stores from the entire state.

We are trying to put as many witness slips in against it as possible.

You do not need to be a resident of IL to submit one as it specifically targets non-residents as well. They can not obtain a license to open a shop in IL or work in a gun store.

Here is a brief synopsis of the bills ill intent

ALERT: Dealer Licensing Bill On The Move! - Illinois Politics - IllinoisCarry.com

If you could go to the following link, no account needed, and fill out the form. Takes about 3 minutes of that. Agree to terms and agreement and submit.

Name and address, representing self(unless you'd like your business named), check the opponent button and record of appearance only.

    Witness Slip

    IL residents thank you!

Chicago must want to be gun free since these types of people keep getting elected year after year.

I said Chicago due to it mostly being Chicago style politics, but it is statewide.

Has a 10 year sunset clause, but imagine what they will do in that 10 years only to extend it or make it pemranent later.

The most corrupt state in the nation, I can't wait until we go bankrupt. Maybe then whoever is left in IL will wake up and see what got us here to begin with.

I hate this state, but am stuck here for the time being.

It's not likely to pass however, but this ARS group is nationwide. Hoping to get as many slips as possible from as many states as possible to show them people are paying attention and see them coming.

Sneaky backdoor politics at its finest

Can't work for one and can't own one. I think that would have an affect on big box stores like Cabelas, Bass Pro, Wal Mart etc. If the owner is not an IL resident then they cannot get an IL license.

It is a way to get all gun sellers out of IL.

All employees allowed to handle or sell firearms already must have a FOID card. The entire law is a sham to end the selling of guns legally in IL.

Maybe you live in a gun friendly state. Hope you never have to constantly deal with a Chicago style political arena.

Maybe the state wouldn't be quite as broke if they didn't spend millions working on this nonsense, only not to pass. Then if it does pass, they'll get challenged, and spend millions more defending it.
How many laws that are obviously unconstitutional? I wonder how many millions were spent trying to sue the gun companies back in the day? Or trying to keep Chicago unarmed? The list goes on and on and on.........

Just saw a thing on fox that gun murder rates are up 70% and gun related crimes are up 140% in Chicago. I guess those strict gun laws are really working well
