Matt, you do realize you are talking about a reality tv show, don't you? drama = ratings = $$$ for the network.
Absolutely. Maybe I'm just hopeful one reality show would be more in line with reality. Wishfull thinking, I suppose:D
I too thought it would be better. Eustace is the only one even remotely living the mountain man lifestyle. I'm not sure why the other two are even on there.
They don't show the trapper in Alaska catching a thing, But then he has to race back to the main camp to get his furs to the shipper before it's to late. The guy from Montana does a nice job of fleshing and caring for his pelts. I was hoping for better but it's entertainment!
they are not much of what i would call mountain men. The alaska guy isnt much of a trapper..........so it seems from watching the show. Eustuice Conway seems just a little to odd for me. he has a website about his place. calls it turtle Island. Seems a little like a cult to me
I enjoy watching it. None of them are the best hunters, but then again the show isn't about hunting and they only hunt for food.
I watched parts of 2 episodes, it seemed a bit overdramatized and scripted. Though Outfitter Bootcamp is also a similar "reality" show, but seems a bit less contrieved and believable.
After all of the reality shows out there you figure you all would know what to expect. Let's face it...reality sucks. You have to spice it up. Who knows how these guys really live before the producers do their editing. They could be some pretty legit mountain men for all we know.
Just tried watching it, I couldn't do it. The show just seemed to be reaching for something that isn't there.
I've been following it. I think these guys are the real deal and what they do and have done is downplayed by the TV screen.
