Anyone using the foot rest on your LW hang-on?

I bought the foot rest for LW this summer but never got around to putting it on. It actually looked like it would get in the way of packing.

Just curious if any of you guys use it and if so what you think about it.

 

I have the LW foot rests on my climber and they are fantastic on it. I do not thave them on the lock on.

 

I have an Assault Hang-On on order that should be here any day and I plan on using it this weekend. I also have a set of foot rests that have been in my desk all season that I'm going to use as well. I'll let you know what I think after I try them out.

 

does anybody have the specs on the LW elite? just trying to figure out how much bigger the base is..

Crap I think I have the alpha.

 

isaiah - the base on the Elite is HUGE compared to the Alpha and Assault stands.

The Assault has a 27.5 x 19.5 platform
The Alpha has a 30 x 19.5 platform, the only real difference being the width of the stand towards the base of the tree and an extra 2.5" of length.
The Elite has a 36 x 24 platform, and I'm telling you it's enormous.

The only downside of the Elite is that it's pretty heavy and a PITA to hang. If you're going to put it in a spot where you aren't going to move it and want the ultimate in comfort for some all-day sits the Elite is a great stand. If you want to run and gun and hang stands a lot, stick with the Alpha or the Assault.

And Fraley - the footrests are universal and will fit on any LW stand.
