I just shot a little buck and his tarsals are starting to stink...should I freeze them and use them? If so when is the best time to do so and what is the best way to keep them?

I've tried dragging them then hanging them. No luck for me.

My friend is a taxi and I get some from him every year when people bring in the whole deer for him to skin.

I like to hang one near an active scrape. The reasoning being, if a buck is cruising checking his scrape, he'll think an intruder is at his scrape. I think this will work best if you can do it in a different area than where you took the buck making them believe a new guy has entered the neighborhood.

I've tried It too as has my dad. In my opinion I don't think they do any good after a day or 2, you get the wrong smell out of them. Who knows though, maybe I'll try It again some time.
