Thinking of ways to extend my battery life in the field, so I don't have to replace them all the time, and just worry about switching the SD card. Just wondernig how many of you have these setups, and how much longer they last for you guys? Are they worth it, in your opinion? THANKS GUYS!

The cameras I've used with 6V batteries, have had A LOT worse battery life than those using other sizes.

i just started using a 6-volt battery (werker 6 volt 14 ah) for about two weeks now in temperature down to -7. i used it on a covert II also with a x6c all with real good results. i put the battery in stryafoam cooler to help prolong the life of the battery.after 400 pictures and two weeks in the cold battery is still on full charg

Good to hear that someone has had good results with them! I am wondering how long they will last....I can figure out how many pictures it should take, based on a full charge and the capacity...but what is hard to account for is how much it discharges on its own, not because of the camera, just due to the cold and time passed....
