I'm looking through my 30D and lenses knowing I want to take my camera with me in the field with me more this year. The photography world (as many of you may know) is really being shook up by the m4/3 and MILCs, especially cameras like the NEX 7. The smaller form factor, coupled with APS-C equivalent sized sensors, and tack sharp lenses as a fraction of the cost of DSLR lenses really has me wondering. While they aren't yet to a 100% DSLR replacement, for in field/tree stand shooting a smaller form factor like the NEX 7 might be ideal. Is there anyone using these yet?
I almost bought a NEX5 when I got my DSLR, but I haven't had much experience with it other than playing around with it in the store. If money's not an object, just buy one and let us know how it does
Lol money is definitely an object. I have no plans to buy one this year. I will still lug my dslr with me when I feel like it. Those smaller form factor dslr based cameras might fit the bill nicely for taking into the field, though.
