Thats the hunt i do every spring, is spot and stalk bear. I have shot 7 in the last 4 years.. Its not to hard and if you mess up a stalk you usually get another chance the same day and if not then you will the next. Ive also guided numerous black bear bow hunts in the last 3 years went 4/5 with bow hunters, the one that didint get one missed 3 in one week of hunting all within 35 yards. This is in british columbia. And i hunted on public land, and guided in 2 different areas in central B.C.
This color phase bear i harvested last spring. Just shy of 6'. Brown with dark brown/black legs. Not the biggest but nicest one ive shot, also a good stalk which made it even better, 30 yrd shot.
