I've shot quite a few bows recently and had settled on the Quest Primal for the 2011 season. But, the Diamond Dead Eye wasn't out yet and it's intriguing.

Has anyone shot it and what do you think?

Production hasn't ramped up for the Dead Eyes yet... they're trying to catch up on the massive backlog of orders on the Invasion still.

Expect to see them hitting stores more frequently in mid-March.

From what I've heard, this bow shoots as nice as a CP with great speed out of a single cam. I think many that order their Invasions will be shocked when they shoot the Dead Eye. This isn't from personal experience, but I've talked to 3 people I trust and they've all echoed each other about this bow.

And Derek... I'll have one of them too if you want to swing by the house and shoot it after I set it up.

Good bow for sure, fast, no vibration, smooth draw. Little top heavy though, nothing major.

    Greg,

I'll take you up on that. Let me know when you get it in and I'll swing by. Out of town next week on vacation, but anytime after will be fine. Thanks a lot.

It is awesome, speed bow that doesn't feel like one. I have friends that shoot Mathews and Hoyt and they are seriously considering trading their bows in for one. They are smooth as any bow you will shoot, and still shoot like 343 FPS. Shoot one and you'll find out.

They are OK IMHO. Very, very top heavy at rest. Draw cycle is pretty sharp, but it is a 6" solo cam speed bow. No vibration on the shot and very quiet.

In all, I wouldn't buy one. My personal feels are that a Solo cam is just meant to shoot that fast, you almost ruin the unique qualities of them. IMHO the Outlaw was a much more hunting friendly bow.
