I've shot and killed deer with the Nitron, HellRazor, Spitfire MaXX and Killzone - all of which performed flawlessly with the same draw length and weight that you're shooting. IMO you can't go wrong with any NAP head, but if I had to make a choice I'd go with the Killzone. Flies great, is ultra durable, and leaves some pretty nasty holes.

It sound like you could shoot pretty much any of the heads that you want from NAP, just make sure what ever one you pick that your bow is properly tuned and that your BHs are flying straight. My self i bought some Killzones but after this season im switching to the Hellrazor since my set up isnt really ment for a mechanical.

Oly what is your current set up. I'm weighing heavily on what will tip my arrows next season...either to go the 125 Killzone that's said to be on it's way and add weighted inserts....or bump up to the 150 or higher grained samurai head (single bevel broadhead)....who knows what will happen.

As for NAP broadheads...for over 5 years I only shot the traditionally Thunderheads and loved them, they performed well, are cheap and durable.

I killed my 1st deer with a bow this yr. I used the NAP Bloodrunner 3 blade and the doe was covered in blood as she ran away. It's a nice combo of fixed and mechanical, but i saw someone else say the same broadhead showed some rust on theirs after it got wet. NAP has lots of other BH's so grab 1 that U like and start practicing to make sure it flies true for your setup.

I've killed 9 deer with the spitfire maxx, nightmare, and killzone. They all perform great and hold up very well. Just pick one that goes good with your set-up and fly's right. Great heads!

NAP at one time made the world's greatest head.. it was called the Nitron and it was brilliant. Small.. less friction in flight and upon impact.. super sharp and crazy accurate out of even poorly tuned bows. It was the definition of "keep it simple stupid".

Alas.. the world of BIG cutting diameters caused the hunting public to loose their minds (and sensible shot placement at times) in favor of these super broadheads which promised gory blood trails and happier endings.

Thus.. the world of the Nitron was destroyed.. commercialism (and Mark Drury) killed it.

I recommend it to anyone.. if you can find it... I've bought enough to last me another 3 seasons I think.. then I must find a new super head.

I'll likely stick with NAP.. their broadheads have something many other manufacturers seem to lack... sharpness. It's an important aspect of the thing that's going into the target.

Some come with one practice head but you can always buy more.

I've always shot explandables. First Rages, then Killzones. I'll continue to shoot KZs, but I wanted to try out a fixed head too. If nothing else, just for the challenge of getting them to hit where my fieldtips do.

I'm also still on the fence on what I want to use on Elk next Fall. This way, I have a couple choices :tu:

Makes sense. Ill benefit more with a COC head. If i can get out west for elk ill already have a set up that would work with that. As for the killzones on elk they will work. I got pictures from Chris Hunter over at NAP of a huge bull he took with the killzones so they will get the job done even on bigger game.
