So the wife was getting a little antsy that I hadn't come up with anything for her to get me for Christmas.............fair enough, it is pretty much last minute but I also worked 96 hours last week so she cut me some slack on my usual procrastination. Today her tone of voice changed a little more serious so I figured I was running low on time. Tomorrow is the last day of ML season (and deer hunting period) in NY so I will be busy all day seeing nothing...........That left me either today or Wednesday as her family rolls out all the goodies on Christmas eve. Call placed to the bow shop to see if they had the Elite Judge in yet..........no dice. 2 more Destroyers did come in though so I figured I would go check them out. The 350 came home as I actually could feel VERY little difference in the bows. Unless the 6 inch brace hurts my accuracy (which I highly doubt it will) I saw no reason not to grab an extra 10 fps. They had a 70lb 350 there and one draw was all it took to know I would not want to hunt with that bow. The 60lb limbs draw just fine for me and if the BC is accurate will have me at 320fps IBO. All 3 bows had the same spacing of cams to limbs so I am going to trust Bowtech on this one and see what happens. So now I just have way too many bows laying around..............in my never ending quest to find a successor to my Patriot I grabbed a couple bows last year but never really shot them much as it was too late for me to switch and hunt with confidence (lotta good that confidence did me LOL) I have an Elite Fire and a tricked out Admiral (both Crackerized) along with the new Destroyer. Come spring time some of these babies gotta go............whichever bow I settle into as a favorite I will be dumping the others. If any of you guys are interested in any of these bows.............keep in touch Merry Christmas to all.
Congrats on the new bow atlas. I'm headed out tonight to put a tune on mine, I plan to have it in the woods on Saturday.
Well, my brother liked the look of the Destroyer and wanted to shoot one side by side with the Z7 so we went to the shop today and took a look around. As he was shooting the Z7 I started looking over the 350 I was holding for him and what I found was like taking a kick to the nads..........the lower cam was leaving a "rub" line on the lower limb...........the upper cam as well though not as bad. 200,000 shots on test bows with no problems but a "new" bow hanging on the rack in the shop is already rubbing?? I am not real happy right now to say the least...........if this becomes a chronic problem I am going to be VERY pissed at myself for ignoring the red flags. Maybe I should just take the bow back and avoid the headaches. #@&*!!!!!!!!!!!
