Hello i was just curious on what people in different areas/states pay per acre for hunting property. We have four of us that lease four properties. They range from 75 acres to 220 acres. we pay 10-16 dollars an acre in North Central PA per year. We end up paying more per acre for the least amount of ground. I understand there is a lot of variables involved as in Deer Pop, Taxes, Going Rates in Areas, # of acres. I am just curious about other states and areas. Thanks

$20-$40 per acre in IL. Per acre price depends on size of the lot, ratio of timber/ag, and whether going through a broker or not. If using a broker plan on paying $30 for even the worst pieces of ground.

Yea i imagine IL is pricey but the deer hunting is excellent. We lease a 110 acre piece from a logging company. Since it is a small amount they charge more per acre. If we were to lease say 1000 acres it would be 5$ or less per acre as what the owner told us.
