Might be a dumb question but im curious....What is this plant? oats? these fields are covered in it and there are main trails goin threw it. is it a food source?
Looks like broomsedge from those pics, it grow in abandon fields on poor ground. Not much of a food source. http://www.google.com/search?q=broo...4GM2Jtwf4u4DEBQ&ved=0CEIQsAQ&biw=1024&bih=540
I agree with jm, that is what it looks like to me also. We have alot of areas like that here and once it gets tall and thick the deer will walk through it and bed in it as it provides good cover. Sometimes hard to see the deer in it, they blend in with that stuff really well
Ok cool thanks. There are a ton of trails going in and out of it. Rabbits love to hide in it to! Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk
I have around 8 acres of this on my property. Trails running all through it. I have one field that is close to 2 acres that will be a big food plot this coming year and another almost acre that will be planted as a food plot to go along with it.
X2...I mow about 40 acres of this stuff on my neighbors ground. Oddly enough, the deer do feed on it.
Ive notice that to! Is it a PA thing lol. Ive seen them browse while going along there trails. this stuff is like a highway for them
