A while back I posted a job opening at Bear Archery for a Product Development Engineer. Recently, they are looking to bring one more person on. This is a dream job for someone who has a background in Engineering and loves bowhunting. If you or anyone you know has a degree in Engineering, loves bows, loves to hunt, has Solidworks or CAD experience, and have dabbled in designing bows/bow accessories on the job or in your spare time, please PM me. The job is located in Evansville, IN. Generous compensation available with full benefits and relocation assistance. PM me for resume submission and consideration. Thanks!

It appears I have all the necessary qualifications but I simply have no interest in moving. Definitely sounds cool though.

I'm right there with you Brad. I even live in Indiana. Would be a great opportunity, but not yet in my life. My kids are very young and all my family lives within minutes.

I am a student in Industrial Engineering and have family in IN. Even if I had my degree I am not sure I would want to move away from here to do it or if an IE degree would qualify. I love being able to walk out my front door and my closest stand be 300yd away and my farthest be 5/8 mile away. It would be a really cool job though.

You do know that the average salary for a r&d engineer in your home state caps out at about $92,00 don't you?

It said that you COULD make UP TO 80K (sounds like one of thoese work from home adds, LOL)....If it said you WOULD make 80K then I would say it's pretty damn good!!!!

No, didn't know that Michael, I've never looked it up. I do know that some of the short lines and class 2 RR's top out at 50-60k a year. So I guess that would put your average real close. I know a guy that made over 150k last year, but it takes at least 30 years seniority to hold his job and I have no desire to work like he did to get it. I'm not that greedy, 70 to 80 hours a week is about all I can stand or need.
