I got a G30 about a month or so ago. I really like it. I've been using just a Sony Handycam for quite a while. Finally decided to just pull the trigger on the Canon.
I got one of the 30s if I haven't mentioned that in this thread, haven't had a chance to use it much but I love it already Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
So other than zoom, you're completely happy with the 20? How is the low light? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Matt the hfg20 is awesome. I used it this past late winter in FL. on a hog hunt. We got into the stand a good 45 min before light and started filming to see what she would do in low light. The footage although a little grainy could make out the terrain before i could even see the ground directly under the stand. There's a you tube video showing the low light capability. I have some property in western NY where there is a ton of farmland with many huge fields. If there are deer way back they are kinda hard to identify antler pts. but i'm talking hundreds of yds. away. For any bowhunting situation the cam is awesome. Also The hfg30 has no internal hard drive. With the 20 you can record to the hard drive and sd cards at the same time. Or record to the hard drive and transfer to the sd cards later. I can get about 12hrs. of recording just off the hard drive. Check the campbell cameras website. Johanna campbell does a segment on the hfg20 and the hfg30 thats vey informative.
