Seen similar threads on other forums with a ton of replies, so since I saw nothing here just wanted to see if anyone on this site followed the Blog and/or purchased any Kuiu gear

I've heard alot about it, but havent seen it for sale anywhere. What makes it the latest and greatest in clothing?

Guy who invented Sitka Gear before selling out to Gore started Kuiu...supposed to be his next step up in clothing....but I won't buy it due to the pattern alone....there is a finite line between iffy yet effective and down right gaudy camo....and that stuff is hideous. lol

It honestly looks similiar to the current military fatigues to me. I'm all for quality clothing, but I still think camo patterns are extremely overrated. If it was so crucial, I wouldnt shoot deer with my bow during gun season while wearing blaze orange.

It is extremely over rated, I agree 100%....which is why I am of the mindset I want to wear something that pleases my eye while doing its job as well, that stuff is just awful looking! lol

Most important part to me if the ability to layer yet while not taking up alot of pack room. With my rain gear, I have to say Sitka Gear was the first piece of rain gear that kept me dry. Seems like after I purchased it, I had a few heavy rains to test it...lol..

It looks like Kuiu may be the going head to head with Sitka Gear.....be interesting to see where this ends up in a few years.....
